Nanjing Road is Shanghai's world-famous shopping paradise, however, there are many other excellent places to shop throughout the city.  Huaihai Zhong Lu, for example, is also a popular shopping street.

Consumer goods are inexpensive by western standards.  It is customary in China to bargain goods.  It is not unusual to buy items for 50% of the posted price.
